127 Club - About Us
Welcome to Kay and Traci's 127 Club where we offer Country music, beer, dartboards, pool tables and TV’s. The locals are well acquainted with the bar, frequently shaking their tail feathers to live bands on the weekend.
by Tara L. on What a great bar! My husband and I escaped here after poor service at Saints & Sinners and were pleasantly surprised. I loved the fireplace and the long highly polished bar! The beers were inexpensive ($9 for two pints) and there was a buyback after our 3rd round. The bartenders were friendly and it was a great place to just sit and relax.
by Marco Searing on Rise was my favorite club in boston. If you don't know where to look, you'll walk right by it, it looks like just a door in the wall. This is a members only club, but i never joined and i never had any problem getting a guest pass whenever i wanted to go. Regardless of whether you're a member or not, you still have to pay. It 's usually $20 or sometimes more for special events, but hey it's open from 2am -6 or 7 so you get a lot for your $. This is boston's only afterhours club and is open fridays, saturdays, and some holiday sundays. Fridays were generally more trancey and straight, and saturdays more tribal and gay, but that's changing. This is not a gay club, it's for anyone. Wear whatever you want, and listen to great music from really good djs. This club is all about the music. There's no alcohol and if you come here drunk, it probably won't work. There are two floors, the downstairs loungey floor that plays spacey downtempo stuff, and the upstairs floor that plays the more dancey stuff. And, if you stay till the end, the djs often give you a cd.
by today y. on with all that red velvet and cool, small venue atmosphere, i want to give more stars, really i do. ...but the sound system went out, totally OUT, when i was there. Granted, it led to a unique, by the seat of your pants improvisation by the band to cope with the tragedy, but that's not usually the type of test that you want to put musicians to the challenge of. The red velevet might draw me back, but since i'm not cool enough to know most of the bands that play there, it might be a while before I can raise the star count for them.
