One of the door guys basically told us not to waste our time because they weren't going to let a group of black girls in even if we RSVP'ed. I was taken aback because my company held a couple of functions here before and my friends and I are well put together and attractive. I saw this happen to a couple of other groups of people of color even though I saw quite a few groups of "non-minorities" waltz right in.

From the tacky design of the restaurant, (complete with faux aboriginal designs on the furniture and very very very bad bamboo picture frames), to the star trek uniforms on the waitress, to the huey lewis being played by the dj. And who on earth does quesadillas "sushi" style? Please don't tell any of my friends that I went here.
by Ashleigh Pellietier on so I decided to celebrate my birthday at Earth NYC last night, 11/4, Saturday, after going on their website and seeing that, for parties of 20 & more they offer: Complimentary Admissions for all the Guests on your List. This was a complete lie because they charged everyone $10 and made us check our coats in for $4 each. The website also said they would give a Complimentary Bottle of Champagne (gratuity excluded) but I thought it was real tacky how the waitress demanded $40 gratuity right away w/out asking us if we wanted to order anything else. the ambience was ok but the place smelled like curry though I know it's a restaurant during the day. I don't know, I just wasn't feeling this place and I wouldn't go back.
