I like this place because of the designer burgers. Admire it for what it is. Come to this place if you're in the mood for burgers experimentation. You should definitely check out the milkshakes.

I have missed this place since it burnt down. I went the second night after it opened and although it looks more appealing from the outside, it has lost its dive-bar-do-crazy-sh*t appeal. It is so sterile now and looks like all the rest of the clubs in L.A. with its austere postmodern architecture. I went to order a drink and waited forever. The bartender was going down the line and when he came to me, I motioned for him to help the black dude next to me who had been waiting longer. I thought doing a good deed would be in my best interest. Apparently not. After the overly-tan not-that-cute bartender helped the black dude, he never came back to me. Finally, another bartender had to come help me. Their drinks are not as expensive as some of the other bars on the strip. The go-go boys were atrocious. They were actually cuter before the place burned down. I'll probably still go here, but not as often. The music sucks and then gets more trancy as the night goes on. Hmmm...

This cafe has character and great food. Tung took me here, as he's taken many colleagues, and it didn't disappoint. As a San Francisco native, the feel of the cafe and the fresh baked bread reminded me of bakery/delis in San Francisco and Santa Cruz. All the ingredients were fresh. The help was very friendly, and the food was fast. Funky location though. -- SD
