Was okay, Was going to go Crimson but they said Crimson was closed (???) so ended up going to Opera. Good looking and fun people, good place for people watching. Drinks not bad, and the bartenders were so cute! Just bad music I guess. Hope they can do something with the music...

How I so enjoyed suckling at the deep, bassy teat that is the Wednesday night happy hour at 111 Minna! The idea of dancing to fist-pumping, hipster-aerobics house music at 6PM seemed a bit odd at first, but when I finally dragged myself there to meet my lovely friend Melinda - who didn't even show, because she is a ridiculous MONKEY - I found I was in a deafening kind of heaven. I discovered that delicious, thirst-slaking pints could be had for as low as $2 (Pabst-Blue-Whatever-They-Are-$2). I discovered that the abundance of interesting art on the wall gave a shy boy like myself something to do with his eyes when he was there, alone, waiting for the $2 dancing mojo-juice to kick in. And I discovered that the crowd was entirely pleasant and attractive, not at all like the twacked-out, glassy-eyed Methistopheles one finds at dens of house-fueled iniquity like the End Up. So in case you were looking for a BONAFIDE ACTION PLAN for your next Wednesday evening, leave your office downtown at 5PM and grab yourself a delectable bite before heading to the ATM, where you will withdraw $20 and then traipse on over to 111 Minna. Pay the $5 cover, and then buy yourself 4-5 pints of PBR. Proceed to dance your ass off while also texting all of your friends to join you, until you finally wind up leaving, drenched in sweat, ultimately finding yourself back at home in plenty of time to wake up easily for your 9-5 indentured servitude on Thursday. I am telling every one of my friends about this place, and henceforth declare myself a regular there, of the utmost regularity.
