by Kylee Farabee on This place is alright. I was there tonight, with Jen H. (GQN takes over). It was great. I had a lovely pineapple margarita. My other drink was way too strong and almost undrinkable. Would I go back there again? Maybe. Tonight was fun, but this place wouldn't be fun unless you came with a group.
by Mel y. on Came here for the first time. Tara Patrick was promoting her new clothing line, but there were no celebs in site. They were being very selective of who got in and the line was loooong. Luckily my friends and I got in for free because we had hook ups. I was dumbfounded when we went in because there were barely any people inside! I totally did not get why they were being so picky about who got in. Also, it wasn't very dark. After a few drinks, it started to get crowded. It was a pretty fun crowd too. The best part was that my girlfriends and I were given free tickets to another club for the following week. Overall this place in nice. No problem getting drinks. I only had 2 and they did the job.
by J. D. on It seems everyone I know likes to knock this place, but then they always go there. in the new era of Buckhead (the West Village), this place is the nexus. I give the owners credit for having a vision and sticking to it. It's a total "fern bar" right out of the 80's, and attracts a very pretty crowd of white, mostly thirtysomething SEC grads with disposable income who don't flinch at paying $8 for a weak vodka & tonic. East Andrews is really a few places all wrapped up into one complex. Downstairs is the Cafe, with a surprisingly decent menu of standard American bistro fare like calamari, steaks, and salads. Upstairs is a live music/disco venue that charges a cover of $10-12 depending on which band is playing. They cut the bands a little after midnight and feature booty shakin' DJ music until closing. This place reminds me very much of venues in South Florida, but not South Beach, more like Boca and Ft. Lauderdale. If you want clean cut pretty people, lots of nooks and crannies to explore and/or hide, and the opportunity to witness a true "pick up joint/meat market," East Andrews delivers.
