I REALLY just don't get it.  I guess people continue to go basically because it's historical and you're 'supposed to go.'  But let's be honest...its tiny, greasy food at relatively ridiculous prices, not to mention its not exactly known for agreeing with you system later.  The one thing i'll co-sign is the Frosted Orange, a creamy, icey treat.  But if you're just craving a hotdog, you're better off just going to the gas station across the street and saving a few bucks.  I have heard good things about car shows in the restaurant's lot on occasion, but I just can't see that justifying $8 hot dog combos with cold, flavorless french fries.

Hmmm.... What do I say? The drinks are WAY too watered down. My vodka and cranberry was nothing but cranberry. The line was awful and not moving. Also, ladies, expect your handbags to be frisked and scrutinized for gum. Yeah, gum. Would I come here again? Only to see the Hollywood Men for a bachelorette party. Otherwise, skip this place.

I went to check out Door 44 last night (Friday). As with Sanna, it's still in it's soft open, so it wasn't very crowded. The grand opening is this Wednesday - Saturday (yes, 4 nights!) and I expect that this place will become very popular very fast. The decor is gorgeous and luxurious - black and red, oozing with sex appeal. I loved the wallpaper- textured brocade. The bar stools and seating were a sleek, black faux-snake. This place has a large bar and a lower level with a second bar and a very small dance floor. Upstairs, it's a big open room with dance platforms and skinny girls writhing around in hot pants and fishnets . This place was very cool. I think it will become a popular Midtown hotspot, and it should attract a different crowd - this is not for the faint of heart. It's definitely got an edge. By the way - just for reference - a vodka tonic (with mid-level vodka) was $8
