by georgette o. on I sing the praises of the Red House happy hour, where everything is half price from 5-7pm. Fortunately for you I'll stop singing now, because it's been a long time since I took voice lessons. But don't worry, the angels take over for me-- because the garlic bread appetizer is yummy, and the margherita pizza is to die for. A large is perfect for two people. The crust is thin and flavorful, just the right amount of basil and garlic and tomatoes... the patio is shady and off the main road and even if it's hot outside, the patio seems cooler... I need to hurry back :)
by Ron N. on This place was a tad too "hollywood" for me. I went for a friend's 22nd birthday and realize it probably wasn't the best choice early on. Luckily I got there early enough to find free street parking on Sunset and also didn't experience any hassles getting in. The venue itself is decent. Drinks were the typical expensive Hollywood price with not enough liquor and small cups. The crowd was definitely a lot older than what I was used to. Oh, and the music was more loud outside than inside on the dance floor. Strange! Overall not very impressed. Just an ok spot. Would I come back? Maybe if a hot lady begged me, hah
by Jin Dingel on I am torn between a 2 and 3 on this one. Although the actual club is neat- loud music, good drinks (spendy and small), lots of people which makes for a very entertaining evening. My gripe you ask? Well, let me tell you about it. We, my boyfriend and I, waited in line like all other good citizens. By the time we got to the door the security guy nudged us aside and let a group of girls in w/out checking ID or charging them the $20 cover. We shrugged it off and just thought, ok, whatever. Then when the bouncer motioned that it was our turn I showed my ID and asked why the girls got in free- his response was, "Its ladies night- ladies are free". So, I got excited and thought, oh good- this won't cost as much as we thought. Come to find out it was "selective" ladies night because they charged me and my boyfriend to get in to the club. We felt very unwelcome.
