Everyone knows those Mexican Martinis are deadly (they have a 2 drink max after all). They are certainly quite potent as well as tasty which is why I had been craving them all the way from LA. Ask for extra olives or just tell the bartender you need it extra "dirty" (yum ;) However, I did not know that if you order the Caipirinha/Cuba Libra, that has even more alcohol than the martini so you definitely hit the 2 drink limit with those too. You'll be a happy camper though, trust me. My friend tried the red and white sangria which was also quite tasty, and our table shared some guacamole and queso with our chips (thank god. or we probably wouldn't have been able to walk out on our own). Yum enough. The crowds and wait were just as bad as I remembered, so we were lucky to get there early and snag a big table. Overall, I still think of this spot primarily for strong and tasty drinks and less for the food. Be sure to stop by on your birthday with your ID and you get a free Mexican Martini to start you festivities right!

I went to Sugar to support a club on campus. Long story short: I don't think I would go back. Clubbing in Hollywood is about 3 things: music, dancing, and drinks (in no particular order). Sugar falls short on dancing because the dance floor is pretty small. What saves Sugar from getting a 1-star rating were that the drinks were good and at a decent price and that the DJ that night was okay. I would've voted 3-stars if they had a bigger dance floor and made the place look nicer. The crowd was decent except for a couple d-bags, but hey, every club is going to have their d-bags and creepers.
