The bouncers at this club are RUDE. Walked outside to use my phone and they wouldn't let me back in... even to get my jacket.. or to let my friends know... So I got to stand outside in the freezing cold until I finally caught a cab. They should be ashamed. I will absolutely never go back.

OK, so in a city full of gay men and the bars they frequent, what are the chances that I, a straight man, would wander into one weekly? Pretty good, it turns out. Apparently when it comes to 'gaydar' I am pretty deficient. On a Saturday night in the city my date and I are sitting in a little Thai place and we see The Cinch across the street. "That looks like a fun place," she says. I agree, because I love country/Western stuff. In we go and it takes me about 3 seconds to realize the scene we've stumbled upon, and to punctuate the point, the bar tender winks at me and compliments my boots. This is a really great bar, though. The bartender made a too strong (not his fault, really) Hot Toddy for my date, seeing as it was cold outside, and then gave us deals on beer all night. Yay! There are two pool tables in the back, and a nice patio smoker's area as well. The place is a little dingy, but it adds authenticity to the Western decor.
