STK was a very odd place. As a bar / lounge, I would definitely recommend it. The bartender was great, recommending great drinks that I would never have known to order, and the crowd was lively. As a place to get side dishes and appetizers, I would also give it the thumbs up. I tried a few sides and a few appetizers, and all of them were excellent. The part that I found a little odd was that the only thing that I was disappointed by was the steak. I had the rib eye, and I know that rib eye is supposed to be marbled, but mine seemed to be a little past marbled to just plain fatty.

I came here for Dine LA (lunch) and was impressed by the attentive and superb service. The decor was nice for the daytime; I can only imagine it being an awesome club/lounge at night. Food-wise, the free bread was mediorcre. What I liked was the olive spread that came with it! I am still thinking about it right now. For appetizer, the fried calamari was lightly crunchy, and I loved the lemon zesty sauce. It kinda filled me up though (being fried food). The manhatten clam chowder was the bomb!! It was so flavorful and had a lot of meaty "stuff" in it that you wouldn't feel jipped. In comparison, the entrees were alright. Koge burger was ginormous and super spicy, and the steak frites were tender. I really really love their sweet potato fries though!! I wish I can find that somewhere close to me. For dessert, I recommend the wild berry mascarapone cheesecake and the chocolate molten cake. The cheesecake was soft, so don't get it if you like your cheesecake New York-style. The chocolate molten cake had a hot, hard crust and a soft, creamy, chocolatey filling. I loved it.
