by Ninja H. on Harlot is like a friend that I don't know well but somehow feel very comfortable and safe around. I've been several times spanned out within a few years but most of my attendance has been within the last six months or so. The decor remains the same...painted dark so the accenting lighting of the art really pops. This may be why the art work is somehow mesmerizing to me. My very first time at Harlot it seemed to be some sort of drag queen night, it was so fabulous...but I don't think I could keep up with their dancing (nor their attire...I was so underdressed) so I smartly stayed near the bar and jus drank while watching everyone giving the glance over to everyone else as they walk by. Wasn't the party companies scene so didn't stay long. And every time after that has been mixed...an asian night, an after work affair, a fundraiser, and just a mixed night with everyone and anyone. Usually when I'm in attendance there's a DJ, but I've been once when there was a live set so that's pretty cool. Service here is great!! The drinks are heavy handed so I'm lovin the bartenders, and I've never had a problem with the bouncers (they are actually quite pleasant and engaging). Even the ones guarding the questionable "alley" type walk to the restrooms...strange!! I'm not usually the kind of female that goes to the restroom in a group (as a matter of fact, I try to avoid that specific stereotype all together) but here it doesn't seem like a bad idea. =/ Strangely, I've never been upstairs...I think out of all the times I've been here it's only been open once. But maybe that's because I'm usually here either in the beginning of the night or the end of it (shrug)...IDK. I'm sure I'll pop in and out of Harlot whenever I'm in the area...they're A-OK in my book! =)
by John on It's often a mixed bag, depending on when you go. If you go on a weeknight (Monday through Thursday), while some of the girls aren't the best (unless you're really into tattoos and piercings), there are a few who work weeknights that are amazing, and it usually doesn't get too crowded. If you're there by 10 you can usually get a good table.
On the weekends, there's more girls, but it's also next to impossible to find a table if you get there after 9pm.
Some of the girls tend to pick a table and just stay there the entire night, it's usually a handful of roamers who are paying attention to you unless you're a regular. But if you make an impression, you're set when you go back.
VIP rooms are a bit of a ripoff, but that's true for any club, so it's not that big of a deal. Just make sure you're ready to pay at least $200 including tips.
Drinks are decently priced, cheaper than a few of the local bars Haven't had the food yet.
Music is a decent mix of rock and rap, almost like listening to 95.5 and 100.5 mixed together.
I've never really noticed leaky clubs, high managers, or any of the stuff that usually gets put into the reviews, so I wouldn't put any stock into it, though I only started going a few months after the lastest negative reviews.
All in all, a good experience. Try and find yourself a regular girl (or girls) and you'll be well taken care of.

by Jack Llama on All the girls seemed disinterested and bored. Hardly any smiled. Most seemed to be VERY occupied with regulars and rarely got up or walked around. Sat there for about 1 hour before anyone besides a waitress came by and said anything, even after I got up and tipped several girls on th estages around me.
