by Lisa L. on Super cute place! Rooms are expensive, but clean, roomy, and themed for make sure you come in a large group so everyone can split the bill. Make reservations ahead of time so that you can reserve the room you want because you are not guaranteed a room if you come on the day of. Also, come early to take advantage of the no wait and happy hour. Also, easier street parking if you come early because the people for the clubs upstairs aren't there yet. So, my large group made reservations but when we got there, they forgot to input our info into their computer and they accidentally double-booked our room! GASP! The next 20 minutes of mayhem to follow was confusing and VERY frustrating because they had to figure out a room that was empty or that wasn't reserved yet for the night. After checking out several rooms and being moved around and around, we FINALLY got a room for the entire night. Even with the whole situation at the beginning, they were SUPER apologetic and gave us a WONDERFUL deal for the mix-up. Besides that incident, the service was wonderful, drinks were good, and rooms were good. There were TONS of songs to choose from, but the machine is really hard to figure out. Also, I didn't like how the screen was located at the front corner of the room. Typical cheesy video footage for songs, although some did come with original music videos. Lyrics were off half of the time, but oh well. Bathroom and back hallway is REALLY creepy so go to the bathroom with a buddy. The smoking area is also really scary to walk by. There is also a main stage at the lobby of the place if you want to show off your skills to everyone.
by Sena Gandolfi on As a disclaimer: I hate most clubs and went to Underbar for a business school event on a Wednesday night. I'm obviously coming from a biased perspective. The bouncers at the front were helpful, which is a welcome change from most of my club-going experiences. I was clearly looking confused (not seeing Underbar's teeny little sign), and the gentlemen at the front door asked me if I was looking for Underbar. Things went downhill from there, generally. Underbar's decor is fairly boring. Drinks are ridiculously expensive and poorly mixed. The house DJ was decent, though I can't say I was excited by anything on his playlist. On the plus side, the elevated platforms in the middle and along the sides of the main dance floor are fun, and especially when they're lined with your inebriated classmates.
by Trinidad Corning on i dunno how this place got such good reviews. i will never go there again! maybe we went on a bad night or something, idunno. the music was the worst part which kind of ruins the whole vibe. it was just so horrible, i wanted to cut my ears off. they earn one star for their potent ass drinks.
