I went to Carnival while in town visiting a friend.  I like the theme, it was cool that everything connected, the games, the food, the decor.  That night some designer was having a fashion show, which was kind of cool to see.  Tried the alcoholic sno cones - good.  Didn't try the Dunk Tank drink, because I didn't have enough daring companions to go in on it, and I wasn't going it alone. The dance floor was much like others have noted, small and the DJ was playing songs and cutting in and out a lot.  Overall though my friends and I had a great time.  The place is clean (including bathrooms) and the servers are everywhere. Originally we were sitting in a reserved area, which the waitress said was for our group - my friend had passes - but later on in the night someone with a headset came in and said, "You have to move."  She was quite rude and our server couldn't explain why we had been placed in an area that wasn't for us.  As a Michigan native, I was told by a friend, that's New York.  I'm not sure what that means, but oh well, we were heading to the dance floor anyway.  I don't remember how much drinks were, but I do not remember bitching about the price. Good time for what it is, the carnival theme is everywhere, so it you aren't into the quirky it might not be your thing.  Interesting to try at least once.

This place is pretty okay in terms of entertainment.  I saw a rather entertaining Japanese guy who had a thing about singing old country and western songs. However, the menu selections don't really do much to jump off the page.  Its so hard to decide because there's nothing that really stands out.  Burgers, Portobello mushroom sandwiches, Pasta (with portobellos), its almost as if they get 5 ingredients and toss it all together with various condiments.  Fills your stomach, but it probably won't be your favorite place to eat.
