So here is the deal... If you are 5'10 above and skinny, you are in at any time. If you are "short", stylish, and female - you need 20 minutes ( but they will let you in just be patient). It is fun, but there are definitely better times in Meatpacking or at 1 Oak. Unfortunately, there is not much room for dancing... BUT - If you want to mingle in the crowd of people who are "too cool"... go for it. They will be there.

We migrated here from The Park (right door) on a Saturday night. My friends got there around 12:30am and didn't have to pay cover. When I arrived about an hour later, there was no line but since the place was getting crowded, my friends and I had to pay a $10 cover. The DJ was great, playing hit after hit of top-40 hip-hop, keeping the dance floor crowded. Bouncers didn't give us any problem. Only negative was the $5 waters - but it's NY! If you get here early enough, you can eat here too - it's a restaurant during non-clubbing hours. - UPDATE: I went there Saturday evening for dinner (not clubbing) - I shared a few dishes with my fellow diners, including the Methi chicken and porkchop lollipops. All of the dishes I had had some spice, which I like. Their menu is distinctly Indian. I remember our servers - Thankesh and Rakish, among others - being attentive, and generally around. We had a great bartender (Nancy) who personally delivered our drinks to us. The manager also was friendly. Negatives: - they cleared my plate when I got up to talk to friends at the next table - when we wanted the bill, it was tough to find a staffer to assist Positives: - I got a chance to check out the dining area upstairs, which was reserved for another party. It had a nice view of the downstairs area and was pretty intimate.
