You would think that a fabulous open space with a bar and great art would be a perfect venue for an event, right? I've been to a number of events here, and I have to say that I'll likely decline future invites for events held here. The entire space can be described in two words: hot and loud. There is no circulation in the building at all, so even with the front door open, it's hot and stuffy and totally uncomfortable. And the speakers seem to be more suited to a giant stadium than a small room. If I can't hear myself talking, I certainly can't hear anyone else talking. Why would I want to be somewhere that's hot and stuffy and I can't have a conversation? Minna has potential, but thus far it's been a bad experience for an event venue.

i came here a solid while ago to see the Stone's Throw/Adult Swim tour.  Peanut Butter Wolf is, btw, pretty good live. this venue is bigger than it really should be.  multiple bars, grouchy bartenders, serving exhorbitantly expensive drinks that kind of suck anyways, but what did i expect, really...  its a music venue. the stage is tall, but small, and intimate, which is kind of cool actually, and the sound is actually pretty decent, no complaints.  this place is a music venue, dance club and ultra lounge all mashed into one, and achieves each one with so-so appeal.
